Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

At wuuvy, we take your privacy and the security of your intellectual property seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, purchase a license, or use our enterprise Java bytecode protection software.

Core Tenet: wuuvy operates locally. We do not upload, scan, transmit, or store your uncompiled source code, proprietary algorithms, or the final protected JAR files on our servers. Your code remains entirely on your infrastructure.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you ("Personal Information") in the following ways:

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Data: Email address and password when you create an account on our portal.
  • Transaction Data: Billing details, purchase history, and payment information (processed securely via our third-party payment providers like Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers).
  • Communications: Information you provide when contacting our support team via Discord, email, or GitHub.

B. Information Collected Automatically via the Software

  • License Verification Data: To enforce licensing, the wuuvy application communicates with our backend to verify active licenses. This includes transmitting your license key and API tokens.
  • Hardware Identification (HWID): If utilizing hardware-locked build profiles, we collect cryptographically hashed hardware identifiers (such as CPU, motherboard, and MAC address hashes) to bind your license to authorized environments.
  • Telemetry (Optional): Anonymous crash reports and performance metrics. This can be completely disabled in your `config.yml`.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and authenticate access to the wuuvy software.
  • To process transactions and send related administrative information, including purchase confirmations and invoices.
  • To prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized sharing of license keys, and piracy of our software.
  • To respond to your technical support requests and improve our documentation.
  • To notify you about critical security updates, new transformation techniques, or changes to our policies.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your Personal Information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, AWS/Cloudflare for server hosting and security).
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena, court order, or to cooperate with law enforcement regarding software piracy or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of wuuvy assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information. This includes SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and cryptographic hashing for passwords and HWID profiles. However, please understand that no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the Personal Information we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request the deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal and accounting retention requirements).

To exercise these rights, please contact our support team. Note that deleting your data will result in the immediate termination of your active wuuvy licenses.

7. Contact Us
